Grouse Grind is a steep and challenging 2.9-kilometre trail up the face of Grouse Mountain that attracts upwards of 150,000 people each year. This hike is geared towards experienced hikers and runners. The total elevation gain is 853 metres, and the hike includes 2,830 stairs.
The average hiker takes around an hour and a half to complete Grouse Grind, but less experienced hikers should budget more time.
There are great views of the Vancouver Skyline and a selection of restaurants and cafes at the summit.
Make sure to pack a sufficient supply of water and snacks for the arduous climb.
