About
Parkour Visions is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to sharing the benefits of parkour, play, and urban fitness with people of all ages through educational programming, design service, and community development support. We believe that parkour and play-based fitness are the most powerful pathways to long-lasting physical, emotional, and social health, and provides a path over many obstacles blocking people engaging in life-long fitness, including ease of access, knowledge, affordability, and need for encouragement.
Parkour is a way of using your natural movements (running, jumping, climbing, swinging, crawling) in the environment you have, to set physical challenges and push yourself mentally. Practitioners are often seen balancing on curbs and railings, jumping around on benches and low walls, swinging on scaffolding, and climbing around their cities and hometowns.
Its challenging & fun; For some, the goal is to be able to leap great lengths, whereas for others, it is to simply move and feel better in the every day. You get to set your own pace and your path, and have a large connected community to draw on who will push you to grow towards your goals.
It's also for all ages and abilities: Youth, teens, adults and seniors can all use parkour to improve their overall movement. Even better, it can be done anytime and anywhere. Parkour doesn't require special equipment or specific spaces to practice--you literally can walk out your front door, in your barefeet if you really wish, and practice any time of the day!

History
Every year Parkour Visions delivers thousands of parkour experiences to students of all ages and dimensions of diversity. Our services and initiatives connect with communities all over the world through build projects and open education resources, and our members ensure that no one who wants to learn is turned away.
Over the last fifteen years, Parkour has grown from a small, obscure discipline into a world-wide network of practitioners, athletes, coaches, companies, and communities. Parkour Visions emerged as an early leader in North America and has worked passionately to provide reliable support for learning and development, striving today to make opportunities for physical play and natural movement available to all.
With a focus on inclusivity & accessibility, PKV has managed to reach students across all generations, and ensure no one is turned away from an opportunity to move due to lack of funds. We have directly engaged and impacted over 25,000 students over the last 10 years through our classes, seminars, and events. We work each year to expand our program reach across all dimensions of diversity.
