This is absolutely one of my favourite places in Victoria to visit for a day. In the spring and summer, the flowers are so beautiful that I feel like I'm in Butchart Gardens, but for free!

My son's favourite thing is visiting the goats at the Petting Zoo and feeding the ducks (I always load up on bird food from the store before we arrive). There's a few playgrounds, the one nearest the public washrooms is better for younger kids and then the playground on Cook St nearby will please older kids with the big zipline and tall rope climber.

We can easily spend a few hours here and be totally content just walking around and exploring.
