The Paralympic Sports Association (PSA) is a non- profit registered charity (11907 6362 RR0001). For 50 years PSA has been providing recreation and sport programs in Edmonton, Alberta and surrounding areas. The programs have grown and expanded over the years; changing to meet the demands of the community. PSA has recently opened a chapter in Medicine Hat, named Medicine Hat Adaptive Sports and Recreation and is currently working on developing programming in Red Deer as well.
PSA offers sport and recreation programs for: children, youth, adults and seniors with physical and developmental disabilities. We offer everything from recreational to high performance programs. There is something for everyone!
Over the years, we have helped develop many elite athletes who start in our grassroots programs, and work to gain spots on National Teams and have the opportunity of competing internationally.
The Paralympic Sports Association (PSA) is an organization dedicated to enhancing the social, physical and mental health of children and adults with a disability through adapted recreational and sporting activities.
To provide recreational and sporting opportunities for individuals with a disability across the province of Alberta. To develop long lasting partnerships with organizations and communities that will increase awareness, opportunities and the quality of life for persons and families living with disabilities.
