A Residential Summer Camp for Children with Disabilities

The camp is for kids ages 8 to 18 and is an outreach project of the J.D. McCarty Center for children with developmental disabilities. The camp is located on the hospital's campus at 2002 E. Robinson St. in Norman. It features two cabins, an activities building and an 11-acre lake. Camp activities include horseback riding, archery, arts and crafts, swimming, scavenger hunts, fishing and canoeing. Other activities include talent shows, dance parties and stargazing. Also, campers get to visit a local water park during their last day at camp.
