The South Fish Creek Complex is a unique and exciting project that brings together key community organizations in the development of a recreation, education, and library facility for the community. Located in the Shawnessy Town Centre, the complex primarily serves Calgarians residing south of Fish Creek Provincial Park.
The facility includes a Catholic senior high school, a public library, twin ice arenas, community gymnasium, public education space, the YMCA and NSD Sport and Fitness Club. The Complex was completely operational by April 2002.
Having all of the various facilities "under one roof" allows one-stop shopping for all your recreation, education and library needs. It is a huge leap forward in bringing together agencies that serve the same community and have the same goals for community development.
