Special Exhibition Program: The Suitcase

Special Exhibition Program: The Suitcase

In conjunction with our special exhibition – Stories of Survival: Object. Image. Memory. – the Museum presents The Suitcase, a one-man production from musician Tim Lorsch. The son of Jewish immigrants who escaped the Holocaust, Lorsch tells his family’s story through spoken narrative and original music, which is performed live with looping technology on violin, octave violin, and cello. This unique performance reflects the vulnerability, hopes, dreams, and resilience of immigrant families.
