Pet Sitters Course for Kids

This course is designed for children ages eleven to fifteen years and is similar to a babysitting course, but is focused on caring for friend’s and family’s pets.
Help your child build valuable skills for a lifetime. As a trained pet sitter, certified by the Edmonton Humane Society your child will learn:
Daily care considerations for domestic companion animals such as dogs and cats, including feeding, exercise, enrichment, grooming, and special needs
How to understand what an animal is trying to communicate through its body language and behaviour
What to do in an emergency situation
Their responsibilities as a pet caretaker
Events occurring on weekends (Saturday or Sunday), programming will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drop-off will begin at 9:45 a.m. and pick-up will be at 4 p.m.

For events occurring on weekdays, programming will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with early drop-off available between 8 and 9 a.m., and pick-up between 4 and 5 p.m.

Additional Info

Minimum of 6 participants and a max of 12 participants for this course.

Cancellations made within 48 hours or less are non-refundable.

Please pack a lunch for your child, a lunch break will be provided.
