Rates of anxiety and associated problems like cutting, suicide and depression have skyrocketed among adolescents over the past 10 years. Many of these kids are getting good grades and behaving well. Unless we understand what anxiety looks like and how it works, it's very difficult to help.
If you have a child that's struggles with excessive worrying, fear or stress and would like more tools and strategies to help them, this workshop is for you. If you're able to bring your teen, they will likely find it helpful as well.
Anxiety is the most common mental health disorder among both adolescents and adults, affecting nearly one out of every three of us.
Identifying and helping adolescents with anxiety problems can be challenging because it's so easy to mask. A lot of kids cover up their symptoms with stellar behavior and performance. Other rely on weed, excessive gaming or social media consumption among other things.
This workshop is designed to support and empower, not judge and criticize. You can expect to come away from this workhop feeling inspired and much less alone. Untreated anxiety during adolescence becomes very hard to treat during adulthood.
There will be time for your questions to be answered as well.
I hope to see you (and possibly your teen) there!
