Constructing Math for the Early Learner (ages 3-8)

Constructing Math for the Early Learner (ages 3-8)

Join a Community of Practice focused on supporting Math Learning and Development of a Math Identity in the Early Years.
The Alameda County Office of Education is offering a grant-funded professional learning opportunity for all Early Childhood coaches and teacher leaders. This project targets educators that support the PK - 2nd Grade to deepen teaching practices to support the early math learning processes through playful, intentional and developmentally appropriate ways. Research-based instructional practices will be the basis for powerful lesson design and assessment that is connected to standards. The professional learning model includes 3 sessions with follow up coaching between each session to support the transference of research to practice.

Please note that a commitment to the Professional Learning series is a commitment to ALL 3 meeting dates. Please note these dates on your calendar. Reminders will also be sent a week prior to each meeting date.

Meeting dates will be:

November 6, 2019

February 5, 2020

May 6, 2020

All meetings will be from 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm (Dinner provided).
