Join us for an exciting exploration of the artwork and poetry of Deborah Kennedy from her award-winning book, Nature Speaks: Art and Poetry for the Earth. While projecting intriguing ink illustrations, she will read poetry and discuss ecological topics and the natural world. She will unveil nature in its beauty and depth, appealing to the eye, the mind and the heart. Ms. Kennedy will also be sharing photos of the large-scale artworks she created on the Berlin Wall prior to reunification. Don’t miss her ocean drum! No registration required.

Deborah Kennedy is a local poet and artist from the South Bay Area. Her exhibitions include numerous solo and group shows featuring objects and conceptually-based installations focusing on ecological and social themes. She is widely noted for creating four large-scale installations on the Berlin Wall six months before it was torn down. Her book, Nature Speaks: Art and Poetry for the Earth has been recognized with several national book awards and poetry awards.
