Pre-order your boxed dinner from a different featured restaurant each week. On event day, pick it up from the restaurant between 5pm and 6pm. Then head down to Alex Decoteau Park to enjoy a fun evening in the park.
To make sure your picnic game is fully on point, Wednesday June 26, Wishbone restaurant will be boxing up fried chicken (with a side of hot sauce), cabbage salad and a buttermilk beignet. All you have to do is pre-order one of these dinners, grab your blanket and find a spot at Alex Decoteau Park.
To kick off the series, the TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival presents the brilliant Joe Semple Trio from 5:45 to 7:45 on Wednesday, June 26. Joe Semple is an Edmonton based clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer specializing in the jazz idiom. He performs regularly around Alberta and Canada with various groups including The Royal Canadian Artillery Band as well as his own quartet. Joe draws inspiration from great Jazz clarinetists such as Eddie Daniels, Artie Shaw, Buddy Defranco and Benny Goodman.
