SummerJazz is delighted to host GRAMMY® Award winner Javier Cabanillas and Cabanijazz Project. Join us for an evening of fine jazz beside the vines!
Cabanijazz Project performs soulful original Latin dance music written by its leader, conga player Javier Cabanillas. Cabanillas is most recognized as conguero in Pacific Mambo Orchestra, which won a Grammy for Best Latin Tropical Album of the year. His versatility, dedication and passion has allowed him to tour with Tito Puente Jr., Marlow Rosado, Willy Torres (Spanish Harlem Orchestra) and has collaborated with artists such as Tito Nieves, Sheila E., Arturo Sandoval, Alex Acuña (Elvis Presley and Weather Report), Tania Libertad, Frankie Negrón, Karl Perazzo (Carlos Santana), Brian Jordan (Lauryn Hill), Ray Obiedo (Herbie Hancock), Adrian Terrazas-Gonzales (The Mars Volta), Tommy Igoe, Tom E. Politzer (Tower of Power), Jerry Gonzalez (Fort Apache Band), Calixto Oviedo (NG La Banda), Louie Romero (Willie Colon, Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz), Jesus Florido (Whitney Houston), and more.
Cabanijazz Project's debut album INFRASONIC was released this last May 2018; all 10 tracks are composed by Cabanillas.
We'll pour tastes of our wines, and we invite you to bring a picnic. Wine will also be available for purchase by the bottle.
The concert begins at 6pm. We’re open from 5:00 to 8:00. Picnic tables are not available; feel free to bring a blanket to spread on the ground, or beach chairs. Please consider carpooling or bicycling, as parking is very limited.
