Doors Open Winnipeg

Doors Open Winnipeg

Held annually on the last weekend of May, Doors Open Winnipeg is a FREE city-wide celebration of Winnipeg’s distinct spaces, outstanding architecture and vibrant history. Each year, visitors are encouraged to explore Winnipeg’s past at over 90 unique events and tours located throughout the city. Since 2004, over 300, 000 visitors and countless volunteers have made Doors Open Winnipeg one of the city’s essential spring events.

This year we are excited to bring in a new mix of tours and locations, plus a cast of returning favourites. As 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike, Doors Open Winnipeg will be commemorating the event. Be sure to check out Streetcar 356 – Winnipeg’s last remaining wooden streetcar, being restored in time to celebrate this important anniversary!

Come and celebrate the stories our buildings tell! Doors Open Winnipeg 2019 kicks off on Saturday, May 25th and runs through to Sunday, May 26th.
