Annual American Indian Day Pow-Wow

Annual American Indian Day Pow-Wow

Annually, the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB), a non-profit organization, in partnership with other local and tribal organizations, hosts an 'American Indian Day' celebration at the Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland, Oregon. Our annual celebration is a traditional showcase and celebration of the rich cultures of Native American - American Indian and Alaska Native communities throughout the Northwest and beyond.

Our intent yearly is to raise the level of awareness concerning the challenges that American Indian - Alaska Native people face in this country and to celebrate the gift of life with our community. Our organization’s mission is to eliminate health disparities and improve the quality of life of American Indians and Alaska Natives by supporting Northwest Tribes in their delivery of culturally appropriate, high quality healthcare.

This year's event will take place on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the heart of Portland at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
