MakerEdTO 2018 is a Hands-On PD conference for Maker Educators on July 5th, 2018. This summer gathering for teacher by teachers for teachers who are using or would like to use Maker tools (anything from paper straws and scotch tape to high end 3D printers) to facilitate learning in their classroom.

Location: The York School, 1320 Yonge street
Date: Thursday July 5th 2018, 8:30 - 3:30

NOTE: This is the York HIGH SCHOOL (A different location from last year)

The day will filled with a keynote, ignite talks, workshops, spark talks and a "playground" where educators can explore tools and technology and have an opportunity to connect and network. Teachers will have the freedom choose their own schedule based on personal interest and need.

During the day come and:

Learn skills through hands-on experiences
Network and connect with Makers and Educators from a wide variety of boards
Talk about classroom strategies and curricular links
develop a broader understanding of the maker movement
Connect with vendors who can provide equipment and supplies
This event is part of the Month of Making that centres around the Toronto Maker Festival, July 7th and 8th, at the Toronto Reference Library. Participants are invited to attend the Maker Festival, and consider volunteering some time at our MakerEdTO booth showcasing some of the work from the MakerEdTO Conference.
