Bring your baskets. Meet your neighbors. Tote the tots. Take the train. Join us for the kick-off of the Farmers Market at Bay Meadows.

This new Sunday market in the Bay Meadows urban village will offer a variety of nutritious California fruits and veggies, handcrafted baked goods, farm-fresh flowers, prepared artisan foods and other specialty items. Guests can also enjoy live music, fitness events, entertainment for kids, craft workshops and more, all presented in the welcoming outdoors of this new neighborhood.

Special features for opening day on May 20th include the following:
• Cooking demo from noted chef, author and educator Laura Stec. Learn how to season your food to get the most out of fresh veggies from this master chef and “culinary entertainer.” 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
• Kids craft workshop from Scribble Me Happy, the 5-star San Mateo-based art studio that helps locals get creative at any age.
• Infectious rhythms of the Caribbean usher in the warm days with Steel Drum Music from Shabang!
• Each month, we’ll be giving away a bike basket from Public Bikes.

The location, on the corner of Delaware and Franklin Streets, is adjacent to the Hillsdale Caltrain station stop and also offers ample parking. Across the way is Bay Meadows' Town Square, featuring public art and surrounded by retailers including Blue Bottle Coffee, Tin Pot Creamery and the beer garden at Fieldwork Brewing Co.

For opening day, we're giving away free bags to the first 100 visitors to the FMBM booth, hosting fun activities for kids and offering a raffle with market prizes.
