This Allies in Aging workshop is for Volunteers and Service Providers who work with seniors.

Elder Abuse: It's Not Right! Neighbours, Friends and Families will be co-facilitated by the Allies in Aging Volunteer Impact team and Christine Spinder, BC Association of Community Response Networks.

- Learn to recognize warning signs and risk factors of abuse or neglect.
- Explore ways to begin the conversation, and practical steps to support with compassion.
- Identify who to call for help and intervention.

When: Wednesday, June 13, 12:00 - 3:00pm. Registration and lunch from 11:40am.

Where: Sunset Community Centre, 6810 Main Street, Vancouver

This event is free for Volunteers and Service Providers who provide support to seniors, but registration is required. Space is limited so please register by Friday, June 8.

Complementary lunch will be provided.

Sunset Community Centre is accessible by bus (e.g. TransLink Bus #3 Main/Downtown).
