2018 marks the 44th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act.
Endangered Species Day is an opportunity for zoo visitors to learn about the importance of protecting endangered species and everyday actions they can take to help them survive.

More than 50 endangered animals live at the zoo. On May 19, keepers and volunteers will be at habitat locations throughout the zoo to discuss some of these imperiled animals, including sea otters, California condors and Asian elephants.
