Stories in the Snow - Winter Nature Hike

Event at Leighton Art Centre

Time Price
Sat, 1pm - 3pm

Winter is a great time to observe and appreciate the activities of wildlife, even when you don't actually see them! Every set of tracks is like a mystery. What critter made the tracks? Where did it come from? Where was it going and what was it doing? Following and interpreting tracks in the snow is fun and can earn you new insights into the lives of Alberta's wildlife. During this interactive winter hike, Jim Critchley will help you identify the tracks of some of the critters who live at or pass through the Leighton Art Centre property. He’s also got great tips on how to interpret what you have observed. Then the next time you're out for a walk, a cross country ski or a snowshoe in a park, you'll be prepared to do a little wildlife “sleuthing" of your own!

This workshop is open to curious people of all ages! Families are welcome to join!

Cost is $15 per ticket or $35 for a family package (2 adults, 2 children).
