Moving from Anxiety to Wellness

Event at Central Middle School Gym

Time Price
Tues, 6pm - 7pm

Do your child's worries keep them from engaging completely with life? While some worries are normal, there is a point where anxiety takes over and children can no longer do everything they wish they could in their lives. This presentation will give you a snapshot of where normal worries start to become something diagnosed as an anxiety disorder according to the DSM V. How can schools and families work to prevent or lessen anxieties that children experience? Where can you get help if your child needs it in Victoria?

Cheryl Rolston, M.Ed, is a vice-principal in SD61, a parent of children with anxiety disorders, and an advocate for mental health wellness in schools. She draws on her professional and personal experience working with the education and medical community in Victoria.
