Activities:

Witch’s Den – Crafts and Games (ongoing)

Join the Museum’s witch in her den and help decorate and bring home, if you dare, a spooky Halloween craft! Also, challenge yourself to identify animals by their skeletons alone, and investigate some real bones and skulls to see what lies beneath…

Science Spook-tacular (ongoing)

Welcome to a Science Spook-tacular! You will be astounded as the Museum’s resident Mad Scientists reveal to you alien monster eggs, goblin goo, volcanic explosions and candy experiments!

Pumpkin Decorating (ongoing)

Children can decorate a pumpkin with a variety of craft material (ex: pipe cleaners, yarn, stickers, etc…) and then bring it home with them. There is an additional cost of $1.00. While supplies last.

Halloween Games (ongoing)

Hunt in a kiddie pool full of corn kernels for bones with a friend and see who can find the most pieces to reassemble Mr. Bones or Mr. Pumpkin head. Great activity for all ages.

Costume Parade (11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.)

Costumed visitors are invited to take part in the costume parade and show off their cute or spooky or original costume to everyone in attendance. Treats await all the participants at the end of the parade.

Apple Cider Making and Tasting (11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.)

What happens to all the apples that are bumped and bruised and not perfect to eat out-of-hand? They are pressed and turned into cider! At this demonstration, visitors can make good use of their energy to help operate the press and will of course be able to taste the fruits of their labour at the end.

Caramel Popcorn (9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.)

Our young visitors are invited to help put together this fun Halloween treat and discover a few fun facts about corn! All visitors are invited to sample this tasty treat.

Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream (10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.)

Enjoy a sample of this seasonal ice cream while we explore the different pumpkin varieties parts and learn about the pumpkin’s life cycle.

Spooky Barn (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)

Enter the spooky barn if you dare! Recommended for older children.
