Wondering how to create a secure attachment with your child? Perhaps you have a child who you are struggling to connect to and want to know if there are better ways of reaching them? Or perhaps you are simply looking for ways to be the best version of yourself with your child.

In this workshop we will explore ways in which to deeply connect with your child and how to establish trust and communication that develops resiliency and emotional intelligence. Attachment is deeply rooted in a child's neurology, so an overview of the brain and how attachment forms will be explored, and parenting strategies that foster neurolgical development will be discussed. Lastly, we will examine ways to cultivate an home environment that fosters connection and calm in our children.

Objectives:
Understand how attachment work both relationally and neurologically
Describe ways in which many current parenting practices work against attachment
Recognize ways to make changes in the home to create a deeper sense of connection with your child
Implement a variety of strategies to foster a secure attachment
Understand how to foster emotional intelligence in children
