This course is designed for kids ages eleven to fifteen years and is similar to a babysitting course, but is focused on caring for friend’s and family’s pets.
Help your child build valuable skills for a lifetime. As a trained pet sitter, certified by the Edmonton Humane Society your child will learn:
Daily care considerations for domestic companion animals such as dogs and cats, including feeding, exercise, enrichment, grooming, and special needs (i.e. administering medication)
How to understand what an animal is trying to communicate through its body language and behaviour
What to do in an emergency situation
Their responsibilities as a pet caretaker

The Pet Sitters course for Kids will take place from 10AM to 4PM on the following dates:

Additional Info
Minimum of 6 participants and a max of 12 participants for this course.
Cancellations made within 48 hours or less are non-refundable
Please pack a lunch for your child, a lunch break will be provided
