The Dallas Chocolate Festival showcases nationally and locally recognized chocolate makers, bean to bar artisans, specialty foods craftspeople and top pastry chefs.

The eighth annual festival will take place September 8–10 in the heart of the Dallas Art District at the Fashion Industry Gallery F.I.G. A celebration of everything chocolate, guests are invited to meet artisans, watch live demonstrations of the chocolate making process, and sample and shop from over 40 vendor participants. Tickets for the 3-day extravaganza go on sale August 10.

Meet in one of the side rooms at the F.I.G. for the kids' area with a chocolate foundation table and foods for dipping, as well as an educational treasure hunt throughout the floor and vendor booths. Tickets are $5 for kids 11 and younger.

The Dallas Chocolate Festival includes a Friday night cocktail party and Chocolate Cake Walk featuring gourmet cakes from popular Dallas eateries including the Hotel Intercontinental, FT33, chocolatier Zach Townsend, Chocolate Secrets and more.

On Saturday from 9am–4pm, guests sample and shop chocolates, pastries and specialty foods. Look online for a list of participating shops.

Madame Cocoa (Adrienne Newman) once again serves as Mistress of Ceremonies along with Kandace Krueger in the Whole Foods classroom. Free demonstrations and classes throughout the day include “Strange Chocolate Pairings” with Megan Giller and “Breaking Down the Chocolate Wall” with Heather Holland.

Sunday classes offer participants a hands-on chocolate experience in Bisous Bisous Patisserie’s state of the art commissary kitchen located in the Design District.
