Oak Bay Arts & Culture Week is an annual event celebrating Oak Bay as a premier cultural destination. Special events will be held throughout the week of August 13 to 19, 2017 that highlight the cultural vibrancy of the community.

Oak Bay Parks, Recreation, and Culture is excited to announce another season of free concerts in Willows Beach Park (Beach Drive at Dalhousie Street) this summer! Join us for the 5th concert of our season on Thursday, August 17, featuring the Damian Graham Music Trio. Bring a blanket and picnic, and enjoy the free music in a beautiful setting!

There will also be a children's puppet and craft station set up at this event, as part of Oak Bay's Arts and Culture Week Celebrations!

Damian Graham has been winning over audiences with his deft rhythmical drumming, fluid vocal abilities and infectious love of music for over 20 years. A staple of the West Coast music scene, his massive talent and versatility have led to stints with Michael Kaeshammer, Louise Rose, Jim Byrnes. Bassist Joey Smith originates from Chattanooga, Tennessee. While touring as bassist with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Joey discovered Victoria and has since become one of the Garden City's favourite musicians. He plays in every musical venue there is and in just as many styles. Pianist Chad Geekie earned his Degree in Music from McGill University. One of the West Coasts hidden talents he has played with some of jazz’s finest musicians including Phil Dwyer, Benny Golson and Jamie Abersold.

This trio is one of the finest examples of honest, joyfully improvised music you will see in the city. Don't miss the opportunity to hear them in this warm and intimate setting.
Upcoming concerts:
Thursday, August 24 - Victoria Soul Gospel Choir (sponsored by Roberto Cecchini, an Oak Bay Resident)
