Canada's Sports Hall of Fame is welcoming its new Horses in Sport Exhibit in July!

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame has inducted twenty six individuals and two horses for their contributions to the equine world. This exhibit features eight major events that are nationally and internationally known in Canada in which horses have played an integral part. Some events include the Calgary Stampede, Canadian Supreme, Canadian Derby, and Olympic/Paralympic Games. Additionally, there are several artifacts featured including a prehistoric horse, a full-sized horse skeleton, three trophies won by Northern Dancer, and Tom Gayford’s gold winning saddle from the 1968 Olympic Games. Other sections of the exhibit include videos of major events and “Ask the Athlete” interviews!
