Here’s the perfect introduction to the world of beekeeping. An experienced beekeeper will lead this unique two hour experience.

You’ll take part in opening up Heritage Park’s honeybee hives and have the opportunity to feel your way around and get to know something of the bees’ seasonal behavior. This is a fun and safe way to experience the world of honeybees. You’ll even take home a sample of honey, fresh from the hive. This short introduction is ideal for curious grownups and a blast for eager kids!

Participants drive into the Park and meet at Shepard Station. Please wear long sleeves, long pants and a hat - protective equipment will be provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult registered in the course. Recommended for ages 10+.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other dates or events.
Present your registration receipt and receive 15% off at the Selkirk Grille on the evening of your workshop.

About the bees at Heritage Park:

Heritage Park is pleased to partner again this year with Apiaries & Bees for Communities to host six honey bee hives through the Bees4Communities Program. These hives are managed by A.B.C. Bees on behalf of their corporate partners. The purpose of the project is to connect local ethical and responsible businesses to support local food production, support small scale and urban beekeeper education and encourage pollinator stewardship.
