LEGO Arctic Adventures/Bot Adventures

LEGO Arctic Adventures/Bot Adventures

Calling all LEGO explorers! Join us as we build and play in the Arctic zone. This fun, hands-on camp teaches how to motorize LEGO creations while learning about gears, motors and battery power. Campers build plenty of snow-themed motorized creatures and vehicles. We'll use gears and motors to make a moving snowman, build a zipline and pulley chairs to race a Yeti down a mountain, design a snowplow to clear a path, and create a speedy reindeer complete with a nose that lights up! Our teachers guide and assist students while still allowing them time to be creative and use their imaginations. We also include short team-building games (many with LEGO themes) to help students get to know fellow campers. In the afternoon, design motor-powered creations which you control with a remote. Plus, learn about coding by programming robots to move using coding stickers, sensors and navigation buttons. Design and build an RC off-road vehicle, BB8 Star Wars droid, and an amazing robot animal. Use a remote to navigate them up and down ramps, through mazes, and even play indoor soccer! Learn about gears, motors and specialty parts. Explore robotics by programming Ozobot mini-robots to navigate through LEGO worlds. Learn how to code a variety of robots by using directional commands, coded stickers, and infrared signals. Activities teach problem-solving and logical thinking.
