Drop-in NatureSketch Class

Run by Robert Bateman Centre Ages 7-12 yrs

Drop-in NatureSketch Summer Program
NatureSketch drop in is an outdoor nature program for kids that focuses on sketching and observing wildlife habitats in unique ecosystems. Guided by a sketch artist and a naturalist, this program encourages children to connect to natural environments in their local community using a pencil and a sketchbook. We will be exploring natural environments within walking distance of the Gallery including Beacon Hill Park, the Inner Harbour, Fishermans Wharf & the Native Plant Gardens at the Royal BC Museum. We will start at the Gallery for a short lesson, walk to a nearby location, learn & draw what we see around us in different eco-systems, have a snack & then walk back to the gallery for pick up.

Ages 7-12 yrs (parents welcome to participate!)

Thursdays, 9:00-12:00

Please bring a nut-free snack & water bottle. Dress appropriate for the weather & walking. Students may eat lunch outside while waiting for pick-up. We will supervise participants until pick up by 12:30 at the latest.

$25.00 per drop-in (no tax)

We need a minimum of 4 participants, so please pre-register if possible. We will also allow drop-in participants in addition to the minimum of 4 pre-registered. Click date below to register.
