NatureSketch Art & Science Camp

Run by Robert Bateman Centre Ages 8-13 yrs

NatureSketch Art & Science Camp in conjunction with the Royal BC Museum.
NatureSketch camp is an outdoor nature program for kids that focuses on sketching and observing wildlife habitats in unique ecosystems. Guided by a sketch artist and a naturalist, this program encourages children to connect to natural environments in their local community using a pencil and a sketchbook. We will be exploring natural environments within walking distance of the Robert Bateman Centre Gallery & Royal BC Museum including Beacon Hill Park, the Inner Harbour, Fishermans Wharf & the Native Plant Gardens at the Royal BC Museum.

At the Royal BC Museum, campers will look closely and sketch natural history specimens within the collection, and make connections between the biodiversity wonders both within and beyond the museum. By the end of the week, campers will create and curate a mini-display of their work within the Natural History Gallery.
