Children's Group Ukulele - Hillcrest Community Centre

Has your child always wanted to learn a string instrument and the guitar is too big? Want to feel motivated by playing the music you love? The ukulele is the best way to start! Why? Because it is small, portable and easy to pick up on - even for the most novice beginners! Given it's size the, Ukulele is perfect for small children. A basic understanding of the easy-to grasp chords will have you strumming a tune in mere days! This is a fun and stress-free environment. Learn basic chords, how to tune the ukulele, and strumming and playing songs. Your child will be playing by the end of the first session. For the adventurous types, improvisation and group jamming/duets will also be taught. Please bring your own ukuleles and purchase the Alfred's Kids' Ukulele Course 1 Book and bring it to the classes, students will be required to use this book for this program.
