Dressmaking 101

Run by The House of Sew

Want to create and build your dream wardrobe but don’t know where to start? Our Dressmaking 101 is the class for you! Learn how to read and work from a pattern and sew your very first skirt. You will leave with a finished skirt and a pattern to take away with you.

Class one: Learn how to properly measure yourself, how to read, cut, and alter the pattern length. We will then show you how to accurately pin the pattern on to the fabric before cutting the pieces out. Before the end of the class, you will learn how to insert a zip, construct the skirt, and finish the seams.
