Science Camps

Run by SFU Summer Camps Ages 6-14 yrs

Experience life as a science student at SFU! These camps provide an introduction to various university sciences each week. Campers will learn in a dynamic classroom environment, and participate in recreational activities in athletic facilities at SFU.

The following separate subjects are offered weekly:

Science is always fun when you're doing the experiments! In this exciting, hands-on course, we'll be conducting a variety of experiments, learning about the scientific method, carrying out observations and recording data in our science journals, just like real scientists.
Bring engineering concepts to life by exploring gears, pulleys, and electro-mechanical requirements in machines and materials. Students will develop their own memorable projects that they can test and take home.
Earth & Ocean Science:
Discover what cannot be seen in our vast rainforests, atmosphere, and oceans by studying phenomena like volcanoes, weather patterns, and how nature recycles itself. Students will be introduced to the latest science and technology that positively affects the environment.
Space Explorers:
How much do you know about our solar system? What is life like on other planets? Answer these questions and many more through hands-on activities and challenges to learn about everything space-related from spaceships to black holes!
