Coding and Engineering 101 at San Francisco State University

Coding and Engineering 101 at San Francisco State University

This is where coding and engineering collide. Start with the foundation of a computer—the hardware. Then get binary (01101100 01101111 01101100) to learn how a computer executes coded instructions. Put this together with object-oriented programming concepts in JavaScript and learn how to program the micro:bit, an interactive pocket-sized computer that's yours to take home. Use JavaScript to detect motion, send messages, and make games while developing real-world hardware skills.
