Lifesaving Bronze Medallion

Run by Repsol Sport Centre Ages 13+ yrs



Prerequisites: Bronze Star or 13 years of age. The Bronze Medallion Award teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education: judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows, carries, and defence and release methods in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a timed swim. Includes CPR A and AED. Canadian Lifesaving Manual and exam fees are included! Swimming ability should be at a SEARS I Can Swim Stage 3, Lifesaving Society Swimmer 6 or Red Cross Swim Kids 10.
