Made By Girls: Adventures in Coding

Run by Digital Media Academy - Bay Area Ages 8-12 yrs

Discover how to create animations, stories, and games while learning how to program using the Scratch programming environment. Developed by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Scratch is an award-winning programming tool that requires no previous coding knowledge to use.

Get a solid foundation in the basic of programming, learning how to use loops conditionals, and variables to make projects that are interactive and fun! Add sounds, text, buttons, and animations to tell your story, you way, all while starting your journey into the wonderful world of coding.

Unlike our co-ed Adventures in Programming course, this Made By Girls section is developed exclusively for girls in a collaborative environment that makes for a perfect first introduction to programming!
