Intro to Heavy Equipment Operator Camp (Spruce Grove Campus)

Intro to Heavy Equipment Operator Camp (Spruce Grove Campus)

How do we move thousands of kilograms safely? What hand skills are required when operating Heavy Equipment? This camp allows students to build the focus and dexterity needed to properly operate many different types of machinery while understanding the science behind crane/hoisting and other types of mechanized leverage. Simulator time coupled with guided learning in our heavy equipment yard will allow students to gain experience on Mobile Cranes and Boom Trucks. Participants of this camp will meet at the Spruce Grove Campus. Participants in this camp must supply their own safety boots (preferred) or safety shoes. Closed toe shoes will not suffice. Safety shoes must have sole puncture protection and protective toecap. We are looking for shoes with the green triangle indicating this CSA designation. NAIT will provide hard hats, safety glasses and reflective vests.
