Dear International Parent,

Why choose us?
Your child is invited to our unique and dynamic summer camp in Canada embracing languages and cultures. We know that children blossom when they learn a new language and experience a new culture. We know that when children are immersed in a safe and nurturing environment and get to share their own language and culture with others, the camp experience will positively define their character; that’s why Fireside offers something different, something meaningful, for our international campers:

We know how important it is for your child to see their evolving world in a positive lens. That’s why we hire the most skilled, matured and experienced camp instructors. In supporting your child, we hire the best.

We are a quality driven summer camp focused on creating a special experience for each camper. Your child will not be simply treated as a tourist. We do more than the typical ESL camp experience; we offer an enriching summer camp program where your child will be connected with Canadian children. We provide a fully engaged cross-cultural experience.

We assess your child's English before they leave for Canada and reassess upon their arrival to ensure they are in the best ESL stream (Intensive or Practice).
Dynamic lodging and camp activities
Sharing, playing, exploring, discovering and seeking adventure are universal experiences that all children should have at camp. That’s why we offer dynamic lodging and camp activities mostly immersed in an outdoor setting. Our North Vancouver and Whistler based overnight camp is designed to provide the perfect mix of fostering children’s social-emotional learning, language and cultural competencies, skill based training, gourmet cooking lessons and immersion in the North Shore local forests.

We provide two language options, from ESL instruction to English tutoring, because some kids just need to practice while others need more instruction. That’s why we are not your carbon copy ESL program; we know the importance of providing parents with choice.

Your child will not be crammed into a stuffy University setting, they will get the real Canadian camp experience. Our campers sleep under the stars in tents, stay at a beautiful Whistler ski lodge, and enjoy classic summer camp lodgings in the forest.
