Wilderness Survivor

Run by Burns Bog Conservation Society Ages 9-12 yrs

Learn about how to stay safe while playing outside. Campers learn about how to recognize natural risks and hazards, what to pack on a trip in the woods, and how to prevent scrapes, cuts, and burns. We will learn how to cook using a solar oven, how to make a water filter out of moss, and how to build a shelter using materials found in the forest! Plus lots of games and crafts.

Activities: Survivor challenges, how to handle animal encounters, & identifying useful and poisonous plants!
