Current Event Analysis: A Case Study of Malala Yousafzai

Run by The Harker School Ages 11-13 yrs

In this summer class, students will read and explore primary and secondary documents about Malala Yousafzai. Yousafzai became an advocate for girls' education when she herself was still a child, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. She is currently the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. By the end of this two-week class, students will research and write a multi-paragraph argumentation relating to Malala Yousafzai, her life and the impact she has made. Join us in this journey to critically examine and rethink history.
