CMC’s Concert Band Camp

Run by Community Music Center Ages 10-14 yrs

Learn how to play great music for concert band this summer! Together we will work on rhythm, articulation, dynamics, blending, key signatures, and phrasing. Then we’ll use what we’ve learned to play together as an ensemble. We’ll finish the week with an informal performance for friends and family.

Ages: 10-14
Instruments: Flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, snare drum/percussion
Styles of music studied: Concert band repertoire
Prerequisites: At least one year of study on your instrument, an ability to read music at a basic level, and a range of at least seven notes.For placement purposes, you will have a phone interview with the Camp Director. Camp size: A maximum of 15 students
