CMC Chamber Music Camp

Run by Community Music Center Ages 12-18 yrs



Spend a week this summer playing in supportive small ensembles, coached daily by CMC faculty. Students may also participate in master classes, large ensembles by instrument, and daily independent chamber music rehearsals. Pre-formed groups as well as individuals are encouraged to apply. An informal recital will be presented at the end of camp. Music will be mailed to participants early to allow adequate time for practice with private teachers before the beginning of camp.

Ages: 12-18
Instruments: Piano, Strings, Woodwinds and Brass
Styles of music studied: Classical
Prerequisites: Minimum three years of private lessons on an instrument. As part of the application, you will sign up for a friendly ensemble placement audition in March. Students are asked to perform two contrasting pieces: one slow and one fast.
Camp size: A maximum of 25 students
