Acting for Film and TV (Ages 9 and Up)

Run by SKAM School of Performing Arts

Tagged in: Acting, After School, Performing Arts

Young aspiring filmmakers and actors, will have the opportunity to learn the basics of on camera acting work and how to shoot a small film sequence together. Students will learn about both sides of the camera and what it takes to act in and shoot a scene, mini commercial or audition monologue. Each student’s area of interest in film and tv will also be considered so that the course can offer a number of ways for each student to engage with the material. The training will help develop confidence and communication skills and allows students to explore their potential in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. Attendance is very important for continuity and for preparation by all.

At the end of the term, there will be a sharing of their camera work for a small in- studio audience of parents and family members.
