Wilderness Skills Kids Summer Day Camps

Choose up to six weeks at the Hans Jensen Group Camp, a private eighty-acre facility off East Lake Sammamish Parkway in Issaquah across from the East Lake Sammamish Boat Launch in Issaquah. Kids Day Camps run Mon-Fri 9:30-3:30 with complimentary extended care from 8:00-5:00 except on Friday afternoon.

Day camps are designed for ages 6-11 (flexible) with campers grouped with others closest to their age within our hallmark 6-1 average, 8-1 maximum student-teacher ratio that’s so critical for safe and profound outdoor experiences. Camp includes optional wading/swimming and games/archery during lunchtime, depending on park rules, camper safety tests, weather and other conditions.

July 23-27, 2018 Lake Sammamish Week 1: The Wilderness Skills Sampler with no prerequisite, or Advanced Nature & Survival Sampler for campers returning from prior years, and also consider our Wilderness Skills Family Camp talking place simultaneously this week. July 30 – Aug 3, 2018 Lake Sammamish Week 2: Choose from Wildlife Search & Rescue and The American Pioneer with no prerequisites, or The Advanced Artisan for graduates of two prior camps with us, at least one being the Wilderness Skills Sampler or The American Pioneer. NEW SPACES ARE AVAILABLE. Register by June 10th to secure your spot!

August 6-10, 2018 Lake Sammamish Week 3: Choose from Wild Cooking & Herbology and Wilderness Survival Craft with no prerequisites, or Advanced Animal Tracking for graduates of two prior camps with us, at least one being Wildlife Search & Rescue or the Wilderness Skills Sampler. Space is still available.

August 13-17, 2018 Lake Sammamish Week 4: Choose from Wilderness Survival Craft and Wildlife Search & Rescue with no prerequisites, or Advanced Herbal Medicine for graduates of two prior camps with us, at least one being Wild Cooking & Herbology or the Wilderness Skills Sampler. Space is still available.

August 20-24, 2018 Lake Sammamish Week 5: Choose from Wild Cooking & Herbology and Wildlife Search & Rescue with no prerequisites, or Advanced Wilderness Survival for graduates of two previous camps with us, at least one being Wilderness Survival Craft or the American Pioneer. Space is still available.

August 27-31, 2018 Lake Sammamish Week 6: Choose from Wilderness Survival Craft and Wild Cooking & Herbology with no prerequisites, or Advanced Ancient Scout for graduates of any two camps with us. Space is still available.

Camp Leaders: Wolf Camp directors Kim & Chris Chisholm are on site all week directing professionally-trained staff instructors at our hallmark 6-1 average, 8-1 maximum student-teacher ratio that’s critical for safe, profound and fun outdoor experiences. There is no aftercare on Friday. Instead, parents are invited to join us for special workshops and closing ceremonies from 2:00-3:30 on Fridays. The schedule includes classic songs and stories from 2:00-2:15, special workshops for parents from 2:15-3:00, and camp graduation certificate awards from 3:00-3:30. Please join us for closing ceremonies to help campers integrate the skills they learned back into their life!
Tuition

$385 tuition includes choice of Wolf Camp Book or Organic T-Shirt at your first camp with us, and Washington Firesteel or Orienteering Compass at subsequent camps.

Standard Discounts: You will receive cumulative discounts of $5 per additional week you attend this summer, $5 off per additional family member attending this summer, and $5 off for successfully referring other families who register campers this summer. Scholarships are available if you apply for financial aid before spaces fill, usually by late spring.

Check/Mail/Email Registration Option: Print out and complete our Microsoft Word or PDF Registration Form for each new participant (not needed for returning campers) and send with a check deposit payable to Wolf Camp, 1026 14th St. SW, Puyallup WA 98371. New campers can also email us a completed registration form and pay using your preferred method.
