INTRO TO PLAYWRITING - Ages 14 – 16

Run by Foote Theatre School

Tagged in: Academics, Performing Arts

Join Ellen Chorley, Performer and Playwright, Festival Director of Nextfest,
as you find ways to have your unique voice be heard! Week by week, you
will explore plot, character, theme, language, and spectacle, reading scenes
that highlight these elements and then writing your own. You will also be
introduced to dramatic and comedic styles of writing. You will attend some local
productions of original works (tickets included in cost of course) to discuss
and dissect. At the end of the course, the short play you write will be read by
professional actors on one of the Citadel’s stages!
