Break dance is the acrobatic side of hip hop and is a dance style of dance formed of acrobatic tricks in seamless combination with basic hip hop steps. Students dance to their favourite (age appropriate) hip hop tunes and will learn foot work, stalls and freezes, popping and locking, get downs and so many more cool tricks. This class will improve, conditioning, musicality, agility, control and strength. Instructor Shy Kotkas of En L’air Academy of Dance has been teaching Hip hop and break dance technique for over 5 years and runs an energetic and fun class while pushing students to succeed in new tricks and feel good about their progress. Students are required to wear black pants, white shirt and white converse or similar.
