Human Experience

Run by New Westminster Parks & Recreation

All Ages

For most, home is more than a place to sleep and eat; it is also safety, security and identity. Most Canadians have grown up knowing a safe and worry-free life but many New Westminster residents have also experienced conflict and injustice in the places they come from. Join them for a cup of tea and 20 minute conversation as they share their differing experiences of leaving one home for anther due to conflict. Presented by the Museum and Archives, in conjunction with Canada 150 celebrations. Registration required.
