Island Swim Skills - Silver

Run by Island Swimming Club

Tagged in: Kids, Sports, Water Sports, Fitness

The ISS Silver is the second step in our early competitive stream. This group builds on the basic skills learned in Bronze and adds another level of technical difficulty. Swimmers will also learn swimming specific skills such as circle swimming, reading a pace clock, and swim meet preparation. We encourage swimmers at this level to attend intraclub iRace meets to test skills and to practice competing. After achieving all of the standards for the group, swimmers graduate to either ISS Gold or the Island Green group. The ISS Silver group is suitable for swimmers who have completed Island Swim Skills Bronze or coach assessment.

During JDF pool shutdown (December 4-26, 2017), all Bronze practices will take place at Saanich Commonwealth Place, 4:30pm-5:30pm
