This hands-on program will bring a class of creative youth together to explore the principles of design thinking and branding, build digital and physical customer-centric products, and learn about the nearly endless array of career opportunities in design. Students will be challenged to build wireframes, prototypes, and run user tests using industry-standard tools like Invision, Sketch, Canva, and more! During the program, students will be broken into teams and assigned a real-world business challenge to work on throughout the week. After finding a solution, teams will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of industry experts. Why This Program:
User experience is about creating a unique experience when a customer uses a product. Today, all of the most innovative companies such as Airbnb, Google, Starbucks, and Disney, use teams of UX designers to create amazing products and engaging services for their customers. It should be no surprise that the UX job market grew over 70% in 2015 alone.

This program combines the art of entrepreneurship with the beauty of design. Using a combination of tools, methods, and frameworks, students solve real-world problems and build upon existing designs to create more functional and enjoyable products. In just one week, students will create an app that solves a real-world business problem or local issue and present their solutions to a panel of respected industry experts.
